ABOUT THE RANCH RODEO

The Johnson County Sheriff's Posse Ranch Rodeo celebrates the authentic traditions of ranch work and horsemanship that built the American West. This isn't your typical rodeo - it's a showcase of real ranch skills used by working cowboys and cowgirls every day.

Teams compete in events that mirror actual ranch work: sorting cattle, doctoring sick animals, branding, and moving livestock. These competitions test the partnership between horse and rider, requiring skill, strategy, and years of experience working on the range.

Join us for an authentic Western experience that honors the heritage and hard work of America's ranching families. Whether you're a seasoned ranch hand or city folk curious about cowboy culture, the Ranch Rodeo offers excitement and education for the whole family.
